Climate issues for the UN BIodiversity Convention 2010

With this brief, delegates at CBD are asked to decide on actions to address climate change emissions due to ecosystem loss and by making sure that biodiversity values are maintained or even improved by actions for climate change mitiation (such as REDD, bIofuel production, reforestation).

This policy brief is handed out to the hunderds of delegates at the Convention on Biological Diversity in Nagoya, October 2010. It was developed together with the WIlderness Society and Humane Society. The policy brief reacts on the CBD Draft Decision on Biodiversity and Climate Change (5.6).
