Wetlands International, its partners and other stakeholders from all over the world converged for a multi-day Climate Resilient Flyway kick-off workshop in Bondo, Kenya in March 2016. The workshop aimed to share lessons learned and experiences in the conservation of wetlands that are important to waterbirds and sustainable livelihoods in a changing climate.
Experts in these fields shared experiences in integrating wetland conservation, livelihood resilience and climate change adaptation, both working on the ground in Africa in the countries of Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi and Mali, and also across the African-Eurasian flyway. The following report summarises the presentations and break out sessions.
