The biggest Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) approved REDD+ project in the world, with potential emissions reductions reaching an average 7.4 million tonnes of CO2e per year, is the Katingan-Mentaya Peatland Restoration and Conservation Project. It is creating sustainable development opportunities for people and restoring valuable ecosystems and habitat for endangered wildlife in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. This documents introduces the background, and the benefits that the project and our involvement bring.
